Barbaresco riserva docg Asili Bruno Giacosa
If you can divide producers of Barolo and Barbaresco into the traditionalists and the modernisers, then Bruno Giacosa falls firmly into the former category. These are wines of the old-school – new oak is not wanted here – and they are none the worse for that. In fact, Giacosa is one of the region’s best winemakers, making exceptional, long-lived Barolos and Barbarescos which are powerful and elegant at the same time – just what Nebbiolo is supposed to be.
The Wine
The color is a garnet red with delicate orange reflections. Fine and complex bouquet with notes of violet and berries. Its flavor is full, velvety and harmonious. Great elegance in this wine. A wine to aged. perfect with main course like pasta with white truffle and second course.
