Champagne Brut BLANC DE BLANCS Vintage 2019
Champagne Pierre Bertrand
The Maison Pierre Bertrand is located in Cumières, 2 kilometers from the Abbey of Hautvillers, where the monk Dom Pérignon lived. In this cradle, Pierre Bertrand’s passion for the vine led him to develop, in 1946, an exceptional Champagne in pure respect of traditions.
The hills of Cumières and Hautvillers are part of the “Coteaux Historiques”, classified in 2015 by UNESCO in the category of Remarkable Sites.
The territory of Cumières is relatively small, namely 300 hectares; it is 85% covered by vines bordering the forest to the north. In the south, the Marne river limits the village.
The Pierre BERTRAND Champagne vineyards are located on the terroirs of Damery, Cumières, Hautvillers (south-facing) and Mardeuil (west-facing).
No more than three kilometers from the headquarters. The proximity of the vineyards allows for the creation of a Champagne that is very representative of the soil. Therefore, the ripe grapes are not altered by prolonged transport at the time of harvest.
Vinification is carried out partly in oak barrels. Its discreet wood makes it an elegant and refined Champagne.
Chardonnay provides liveliness and freshness.
This is a young Champagne. Its liveliness makes it particularly suitable for gatherings with friends and family, perhaps accompanied by warm dishes. Try pairing it with sauerkraut.
Pairings
This Champagne will perfectly accompany white-fleshed fish in a light sauce and poultry.
