The Story
The history of Champagne Tanneux-Mahy is first and foremost a human story, where everyone contributes their part to the estate. From father to son, our pleasure is sharing our know-how with champagne lovers.
Maurice Tanneux was the first in the family to harvest his grapes, transform them into champagne, and share them with a discerning clientele.
He creates his brand: Champagne Tanneux-Collard
André Tanneux and his wife Micheline Mahy occupy the farm. Together, they create Champagne Tanneux-Mahy, increase the cultivated area, and, in a turbulent context, participate in the creation of the Mardeuil cooperative.
Setting an example with the Champagne Tanneux-Mahy vineyards, they were awarded the diploma for the most beautiful vineyard garden in 1953, 1954, and 1955, and were classified as standouts in 1956.
Tasting notes
On the nose, the aromas lean towards fresh fruit such as peaches… with distinct notes of minerality.
To be enjoyed as an aperitif, accompanied by cheeses such as Maroilles, fresh goat cheese, or soft-paste cheeses. Its fruitiness and bright character make it particularly suitable for after-dinner enjoyment.
