CASANOVA DI NERI
In 1971, Giovanni Neri founded the Casanova di Neri winery after purchasing a vast estate in the Montalcino territory. Giovanni’s goal was to create a great Brunello di Montalcino from premier vineyard sites. Today, as Casanova di Neri has become a model winery in Montalcino and its wines have garnered international acclaim, his son Giacomo, wife Enrichetta, and their children carry on their father Giovanni’s ambitious project.
A journey of great fascination, the result of a continuous process of productive and philosophical evolution, and a new vision of Brunello di Montalcino that starts from tradition and interprets it with innovation. This is how unique and highly recognizable wines like Tenuta Nuova and Cerretalto were born—full-bodied, powerful reds that simultaneously possess great elegance.
Casanova di Neri boasts a 55-hectare estate of prestigious vineyards, divided into 5 estates: Pietradonica, Le Centine, Cerretalto, Fiesole, and Podernuovo. Each has its own unique characteristics, in terms of both climate and soil type. The winery’s six labels reflect the vineyards from which they originate.
It originates from vineyards with unique characteristics that produce Sangiovese grapes, yielding a highly recognizable wine that combines structure, power, and finesse.
BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO TENUTA NUOVA
The Brunello Tenuta Nuova began as both a passionate and scientific project, resulting in a wine that only Casanova di Neri can provide. It is born from a Sangiovese massal selection clone from the Cerretalto vineyard and a terroir south of Montalcino, where it acquires “Mediterranean” notes, great finesse, and tannic structure.
Enveloping and complex in its aromas, deep in body yet capable of expressing savory enjoyment, in keeping with the estate’s style.
It is poised for a long evolution over the years, but will also provide great satisfaction when enjoyed young.
It is aged in wood for 30 months and in the bottle for 18 months.
Since its first vintage in 1993, it has consistently received incredible accolades from the global wine press over the years.
