KURTATSCH CORTACCIA Sauvignon 2025
SAUVIGNON ALTO ADIGE DOC
KURTATSCH CORTACCIA Sauvignon 2025. The Sauvignon grape variety prefers breezy areas with limestone soils, such as the steep slopes of Cortaccia between 450 and 600 m. The evening downdrafts regulate the climate and cool the grapes.
Deep, gravelly, limestone-dolomite soils produce a delicate Sauvignon with distinct fruit notes reminiscent of elderflower, gooseberry, and exotic fruits. It is balanced and juicy on the palate. The vibrant acidity gives the body a sharp profile. A hallmark of the Sauvignon Selection is the saline note on the palate that elegantly lengthens the wine.
Vinification
Minimal maceration, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel followed by aging on the fine lees
The Alto Adige DOC Sauvignon from Cantina Kurtatsch is an intense wine with a lively freshness and characteristic sapidity. Excellent as an aperitif and with asparagus dishes.
Cantina Kurtatsch
Among the slopes of Alto Adige, Cantina Kurtatsch interprets mountain viticulture with a collective vision: 190 families, one shared goal, and wines that precisely reflect the character of the territory. Founded in 1900 to protect small local farming estates, Cantina Kurtatsch is today among the oldest cooperatives in Alto Adige.
It brings together 190 families across 190 hectares of cultivated land and produces sixteen varieties of whites and reds that fully reflect the character of their origin. A model that, over time, has consolidated a close bond between winegrowers and winery, fostering product quality and the ability to adapt to the most variable climatic conditions.
