DOMENICO CLERICO Barolo PerCristina 2006
THE HISTORY
In 1976, at his father’s request, Domenico Clerico took the reins of the family farm. At the time, the estate spanned approximately five hectares, and the grapes harvested there were sold to a local cooperative winery.
Given the meager returns, Domenico—with the support of his wife, Giuliana, in managing the estate—decided to begin vinifying his own grapes to produce high-quality wines.
With love and dedication, he began to tend to his vines, striving to understand and address their every need throughout the year.
At the same time, Domenico acquired new vineyard plots, all well-situated and boasting ideal microclimatic conditions.
Today, the Domenico Clerico winery encompasses 21 hectares of vineyards, located in some of the finest subzones of the Barolo appellation, specifically within Monforte d’Alba and Serralunga d’Alba.
