For several generations, Domaine Carrette has cultivated its vineyards with passion and humility in Vergisson, in the Mâconnais region of southern Burgundy.

The area is a small gem where history, nature, and wine culture blend harmoniously. Located in the Saône-et-Loire department within the Mâconnais wine region, this location is famous for its extraordinary scenic beauty and the excellence of its wines, which carry on a centuries-old tradition.

Viticulture is the beating heart of Vergisson. Domaine Carrette stands right at the foot of the Roche de Vergisson, a natural monument and symbol of the region. The mountain, a vestige of an ancient seabed, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and holds deep historical and geological significance.

DOMAINE CARRETTE Mâcon Milly-Lamartine Bourgogne Blanc 2024

Domaine Carrette’s Mâcon Milly-Lamartine cuvée comes from vineyards located between Milly-Lamartine and Berzé-la-Ville, in the heart of the Mâconnais vineyards in Burgundy. This terroir, rich in history and linked to the poet Alphonse de Lamartine, gives life to wines that are both elegant and accessible.

Produced exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, this Mâcon Milly-Lamartine from Domaine Carrette reflects the richness of the clay-limestone and marl soils. The altitude and various vineyard exposures give the wine a magnificent balance between freshness, tension, and richness.

DOMAINE CARRETTE Mâcon Milly-Lamartine Bourgogne Blanc 2024. Grapes are harvested at different times, with separate pressing and fermentation in tanks using indigenous yeasts; full spontaneous malolactic fermentation and aging without racking or bâtonnage for 6 months, until blending and bottling.

Generally, the wines reveal aromas of fresh fruit, green apple, and light floral notes, with a light and lively palate typical of southern Burgundy white wines.

Each vintage is the culmination of carefully passed-down knowledge, deep respect for living things and a sincere attachment to the land.
