CHATEAU FRANCS MAGNUS Bordeaux Rouge Supérieur 2019
Acquired in 2011 by Arnaud, Château Francs-Magnus boasts a prestigious winemaking tradition. This Bordeaux Supérieur is situated in an exceptional location, on limestone terroir reminiscent of the Saint-Émilion plateau. Approximately 85,000 bottles are produced each vintage.
CHATEAU FRANCS MAGNUS Bordeaux Rouge Supérieur 2019. An intense color that captures the eye. Perfect aromatic purity, combined with notes of dark fruit, enchants the nose. The finish, thanks to the consistently high quality of the Cabernet Franc, remains spicy and minty, with a vibrant yet fresh tension.
CHATEAU FRANCS MAGNUS
Arnaud Roux-Oulié represents the third generation of winegrowers. It was his grandfather, Ernest Roux, who acquired Château Lagüe in the 1950s and launched the estate’s operations.
Arnaud benefited from his grandfather’s invaluable viticultural advice during his youth. Arnaud’s mother, Françoise Roux, managed the vineyard for several years.
Arnaud took the reins of the estate at the age of 20 and diversified it by acquiring 2 hectares to create his own property, “Château Carlmagnus”. The estate’s name is inspired by Emperor Charlemagne, who stayed in the region and built a fortress there.
Since then, this wine has become one of the jewels of the Fronsac appellation and is distributed internationally. In 2011, Arnaud acquired another estate, Francs-Magnus (Bordeaux Supérieur).
In 2024, after acquiring the entire Château Lagüe estate, he undertook a complete renovation in six months and opened the bistronomic restaurant Magnus La Table, a gathering place to share the magic of the estate. The experience continues with a 100% Bordeaux wine list, Les Chambres de Magnus. And most recently, with the opening of Magnus l’Annexe, where you can enjoy signature cocktails and exclusive wines accompanied by sharing boards, in a musical atmosphere with breathtaking views.
