6 Bottles of Brunello di Montalcino Castelgiocondo 2012

Castelgiocondo Brunello 2012 is a lively, luminous ruby -red colour with vermillion highlights.

The nose offers a melange of berries, among which, blackberry dominates with floral notes of violets.

Spicy black pepper and cardamom, followed by fresh notes of juniper, and toasted coffee and hazelnuts.

The texture is dense with elegant tannins, full – bodied.

The finish is very long and warm; spicy notes are joined by equaly intese fruity notes.

SERVING SUGESTIONS:  Beef stews and aged chese.

Vintage report

The growing season was noteworthy for the high temperatures and limited rainfall during the summer months as well as the particularly dry seasons, all of which encouraged a harmonious development of the grapes.

Although the harvest was quite long, our grapes remained in perfect health throughout, the first important step for the production of good wine.

The sunlight and warmth of 2012 give CastelGiocondo wines extraordinary potency and richness.
