BARBARESCO “IL BRICCO” 2019 PIO CESARE
PIO CESARE
The family owns approximately 70 hectares of vineyards in particularly prestigious exposures.
The official classification of the vineyards – Menzioni Geografiche Aggiuntive (Additional Geographic Mentions) – was completed in 2010 for Barolo. For Barbaresco, it was concluded in 2007. Each of the vineyards in the Barolo and Barbaresco zones is proudly included in the list of “Menzioni Geografiche Aggiuntive”.
The choice to have vineyards located in different areas is not accidental. It is determined by the desire to blend and harmonize the diverse characteristics of each vineyard and each zone. This is done to produce wines representative of the style of the entirety of the terroirs of each denomination.
This winery is one of the few remaining in the historic center of the city of Alba. Built at the end of the 18th century, it is traversed and bordered by the Ancient Roman walls of Alba Pompeia, which serve as its foundations and are visible in every corner.
