ANDRÉ DILIGENT et FILS Champagne Brut Blanc de Blancs Blanc d’Eminence
The small town of Buxeuil, in the Aube area, is the heart of the Diligent family. It is here that as early as the seventeenth century the Diligent family worked the land and owned vineyards.
Three centuries later André DILIGENT was born. It was his father, Georges, after World War II, who first put his name on his Champagne cuvées working his whole life alongside Régine, his wife, who inspired him to live his passion for the wine.
Today, Joël and Patrick continue the work and strive to pass on all their knowledge to Thomas and Aurélien, their children. Continuity and improvement remain their main objectives.
It is in the south of Champagne, in the heart of the Côte des Bar, that the ten hectares of vineyards flourish. They cover some large cities of the Champagne appellation, Buxeuil, where our cellars are located, and Polisy, Gyé-sur-Seine, Balnot-sur-Laignes and Les Riceys.
The vines, whose longevity ranges from fifteen to forty years, benefit from the particular terroir of the Côte des Bars; composed of Jurassic slopes, established on Kimmeridgian limestone.
The wines obtained from Pinot Noir for 80%, in which the Aube dominates uncontested, contain Chardonnay for 17% and Pinot Bianco for 3%, mature in vats for a minimum of 2 years, so that the blend of these wines from three different vintages are then bottled to give life to champagne of great finesse.
These same bottles are stored for a minimum of 2 years in the cellars of the Diligent family before being put on the market.
