MARTINI FAMILY ESTATES
The Martini family, who already was known as a landowner at the beginning of the twentieth century, possessing vineyards right in the heart of the Langhe region in Cossano Belbo bought 4 precious estates in the best wineplaces in Piedmont: Villa Lanata in Cossano Belbo, Cascina Lo Zoccolaio in Barolo, La Toledana in Gavi and Cascina La Doria in San Cristoforo.

Barolo, in the heart of Piedmontese wine, are completely immersed in the vineyard landscape. Hills till the eye can stretch, designed over the centuries by man, who has got from those rows food and culture. A true masterpiece, like a paint, which has earned recognition in World Heritage in 2014 with the creation of the UNESCO site.
Lo Zoccolaio, is a typical farmstead named after an ancient maker of wooden shoes who resided there. Lo Zoccolaio Estate from 3 generation the concept of tradition and innovation is handed down. Started from the “modernism” of the barrique and go back to the use of larger wooden barrels, while the architectonic choices of the recent restructuring go over the colors and materials of the territory with a decisively present day line. Lo Zoccolaio tree is a great white poplar, grown up with a double trunk. The double tree harks back to the inverted tree of the Jewish and Indian tradition, which has roots in the spiritual dimension and raises its imposing foliage in the reality, in the known world.It is the tree of life, or of the knowledge of good and evil. Lo Zoccolaio Estate is located in Barolo and have 27 owner hectars in Barolo Area.
Cascina Lo Zoccolaio follows exactly the process of tradition. In the vineyard the grapes are treated with love and respect.
BAROLO RIS. RAVERA – LO ZOCCOLAIO
Barolo Ravera is produced with the grapes of the most important cru in Novello, a guarantee of fine aromas, sapid flavor, and great complexity. The mainly calcareous soil of this historical vineyard adds elegance and structure to the wine, making it ideal for aging. Austere and severe in its early years, Barolo Ravera loses none of its typicality with the passing of time.

- Ruby red colour which shows a crystalline brilliance.
- Intense bouquet, full and lingering; it recalls dried roses, alpine flowers and noble wood.
- Great structure – well-balanced thanks to the ripe tannins. Nuanced and lingering aromas and good acidity makes the Ravera a pleasing and charming wine.

It can be served with big red meat dishes and mature cheeses, it can also make for pleasant after-dinner.
