CANTINA TERLANO Vorberg Pinot Bianco Riserva 2023

Founded in 1893, Cantina Terlano is one of the most avant-garde producer cooperatives in all of Alto Adige.

Its current 143 members cultivate 190 hectares of vineyards, equivalent to a total annual production of 1.5 million bottles. For years, together with their members, they have pursued the path of quality with commitment and perseverance, the very quality that has earned them fame and recognition in the Italian and international wine market. This is why, despite being relatively small, the Terlano winery has become an established institution in its sector.

Vinification

Manual harvesting and grape selection. Gentle whole-cluster pressing and settling by natural sedimentation. Slow fermentation at controlled temperature in large oak barrels (70 & 30 hl). Malolactic fermentation and aging for 12 months on fine lees in traditional wooden barrels.

It is ideal paired with spicy fish soup, peppered mussels or spaghetti allo scoglio, but it is also interesting to pair it with gratinated mussels, grilled cuttlefish or char, and it also pairs well with carciofi alla romana – usually difficult to pair – with aged pecorino, or aged Parmigiano with mostarda or Tête de Moine.

Wine Description

• Color: bright straw yellow with greenish reflections
• Aroma: A highly varied and multi-faceted bouquet is found in this wine, with ripe fruity notes of melon, white peach, pear or golden delicious apple, but also with aromas of quince jelly, chamomile and pineapple, accompanied by mineral notes of flint.
• Taste: The combination of fruity, aromatic and saline taste components is also reflected on the palate. The compact structure with an elegant creaminess merges into a highly aromatic finish, therefore persistent and distinctly mineral.
• Serving temperature: 12 – 14 °C
