The “Poderi Aldo Conterno” estate is located in Monforte d’Alba in the Bussia area, the heart of the typical Barolo wine region.
The family that comprises the estate represents the core of all dynamics pertaining to the business.

BARBERA D’ALBA CONCA TRE PILE
Aldo Conterno’s Barbera d’Alba “Conca Tre Pile” originates from the eponymous hillside located in Bussia Soprana, near Monforte d’Alba. The Barbera vineyards, which are approximately 45 years old, are tended with rigorous passion to yield the most perfect fruit possible by the first week of October, when they are harvested by hand.
VINEYARD(S): Conca Tre Pile in Bussia (Monforte d’Alba).
VINIFICATION: red wine vinification with skin maceration in stainless steel tanks.
FERMENTATION TIME: the must remains in contact with the skins for approximately 8-10 days.
CELLAR AGING: the new wine spends several months in steel tanks with various rackings, then it is placed in wood where it remains for several months.
Tasting notes
- Color: Ruby red
- Bouquet: Mineral, spicy, with hints of slightly wilted violet, vanilla, red berries, and peach skin
- Palate: Fresh, full-bodied, and structured, with silky tannins in the background
