Since the early decades of the 20th century, Pinot Bianco has been the most important white wine in Alto Adige. On the cool slopes that favor it, between 500 and 650 m a.s.l., Pinot Bianco can develop to its full potential.
KURTATSCH CORTACCIA Pinot Bianco 2025. Here, its typical aromas of fresh apple and pear are born, and the wine maintains its vibrant and stimulating acidic structure. This makes it an unmistakable regional wine. The vines grow on limestone and gravelly dolomite soil, which is why this Pinot Bianco surprises with its saline minerality on the palate.
Vinification
Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel followed by aging on the fine lees.

KURTATSCH CORTACCIA Pinot Bianco 2025. In the cellar, production is sustainable and the wines reflect their unmistakable origin—their terroir. Uniquely in Europe, Cortaccia’s vineyards span an altitude between 220 and 900 m a.s.l. Here, every grape variety finds its ideal growing conditions.
Having 700m of elevation difference within a single municipality is unique in Europe! The lower areas are among the warmest in Alto Adige and are ideal for red wines. On the heights above the town center, white wines find perfect alpine conditions. For this reason, whites are cultivated at high altitudes – fresh, aromatic and with alpine character – while the lower areas, with clay and limestone soils, are dedicated to reds. The winery’s motto is clear: prioritize quality by cultivating the right grape variety in the right area.
The presence of Bordeaux varieties is a further characteristic of Cantina Kurtatsch’s uniqueness, which has identified the perfect opportunity to enter the red wine market.
