Great physical strength, great wine culture, great love for their land, is the person you don’t expect. Elio is a very poised and polite person, no frills, but a lot of elegance. His wines speak for him, and they say a lot.

BARBERA D’ALBA SUPERIORE

To obtain this Barbera d’Alba Elio sacrificed a site of Nebbiolo da Barolo grapes to plant a vineyard with only 1,200 Barbera vines in 1996, in addition to 700 plants from 1945 from the Surì Disa hill.

The wine usually ages for 8 months in Slavonian oak barrels, and after bottling at least another 6 months in the bottle.

The final product is our Barbera Superiore, with a very intense ruby red color that tends to purple, an elegant aroma, black currant and spicy dark chocolate stand out, fresh, full, slightly tannic flavor.
