Roberto Voerzio, an icon of avant-garde viticulture in the Langhe. His style is unique, his love for wine and the land have led him to produce grandiose wines. The facts speak for themselves, 8000 vines per hectare, super bunch selection, aggressive thinning, 500 grams of grapes per plant ( traditionally Piedmontese winemakers harvest about 2 kilograms). His work in the vineyards is more than manic, his plants are immediately recognizable by their cleanliness and tidiness, and the philosophy of using only organic products and manure for the well-being of the vines does not go unnoticed at all.
He founded his winery in the 1980s by buying the best vineyards with the most beautiful exposures, producing limited quantities for each cru with amazing and unparalleled power and structure.
Brunate, La Serra,Cerequio, Rocche dell’Annunziata and Fossati are the namesake vineyards where he vinifies in purity the various cru, all located in La Morra and always considered the most prestigious for the quality of the grapes.
Barolo Brunate 2019
2019 is a magical year, much appreciated as a classic vintage. Many winemakers compare the vintage to the outstanding 2016, especially for the tannins, concentration and potency of the wines. The decisive difference compared to 2016 is the balance of the many dense tannins with a sweeter and juicier fruity hint than in 2016. The vibrant fresh and balanced acidity structure of the wines ensures maximum balance. The high percentage of polyphenols produces a bright and brilliant colour, especially in Nebbiolo.

Heiner Lobenberg : In order to be fully enjoyed, this Brunate should be opened a few years after its bottling, but even if drunk now it knows how to amaze and fascinate anyone 98/100!
Tasting Notes
Colour : Intense garnet red
Bouquet : Intense but delicate, with hints of ripe and dried strawberry, compote of plums and tobacco
Flavour : Robust and structured, with character, full, with enveloping tannins
