The Roero is a small hillside area on the left bank of the Tanaro River, directly across from the Barbaresco zone, which is on the river’s right bank. The soil is rich in calcareous marl and sand with traces of clay. It is situated on a slope exposed to south-east; it yields an excellent white wine of the Arneis grape, a variety only appreciated since the mid 1970s despite its much earlier origins.Grapes we select from the finest hillside vineyards produce a superb white wine of great elegance and delicacy.
