Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova Casanova di Neri 2012
Brunello di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova Casanova di Neri 2012
The Winery:
«A sacred place, where a delicate balance is valued»
Situated in front of Montalcino, set in a unique context of great beauty, the winery is perfectly integrated in this splendid landscape.
The building is mostly underground, facing north and with a natural room temperature without having to resort to air conditioning.
It was planned following a rational design that supports our production principles of low impact and natural processes. The structure is on three levels so as to take advantage of gravity and was built according to the needs of Casanova di Neri and of our vision of the productive process, intent on respecting the quality of the grapes and on enhancing the characteristics of the different grapes and above all of the different vineyards that they come from. Before the vinification the grapes are picked out on a selection belt after which they are de-stemmed and passed on to a further selection belt where we choose the best grapes that fall by gravity into the vats.
Born of vineyards with unique characteristics that produce Sangiovese grapes and give a wine of great distinction and unique structure, potency and fineness.
Tating notes:
Captivating and complex in its fragrances, profound in its width yet able to express in delightful flavours, in the style of the estate. It lends itself to a lengthy evolution through the years but also drunk young it will give great satisfaction.
Ever since its first harvest in 1993 it has had constant amazing recognition from the world press.
Ruby red with garnet reflections, hints of maraschino cherries, violets and red frits.
Great fineness in the mouth with a tannin still young yet great quality. Long elegant and persistent.
Serve at a temperature of 16° – 17° having opened the bottle a few hours previously or decant delicately.
