The history

Nestled in vineyards just steps outside the center of the village Barolo you will find the winery as well as the Restaurant and Hotelall of which is owned and operation by the Brezza family.

Proprietors of tradition for 4 generations, we believe today that the best way to represent the uniqueness of our terroir in our wines is to stay in constant harmony with the land and its fruits.

Currently the family is working organically farmed vineyards. Our philosophy is to produce mono varietal wines and to take more care to better their health of the vineyard.

We harvest by hand carefully, and try to collect the grapes at the right degree of maturity.

In fact, this can be found in all the harmony and balance of a great wine.

In the cellar we try to accompany this quality to the bottle by using a light hand.

GLASS STOPPER

Ten years ago we decided to use an innovative glass stopper that we believe provides and extra guarantee in respect of the characteristic of our wines.

The vineyards are located a majority in the Barolo area 15.5 ha, of which 12.5 are in the municipality of Barolo, 2 ha in Monforte d’Alba, 1 ha in Novello, and 2 ha between Alba and Diano d’Alba located in the Nebbiolo d’Alba zone.

The name

In ancient times, this area was called Salmassa, a name that probably originates from a source of brackish water welling up in its vicinity.

The soil of this vineyard, as is in the towns of Barolo and La Morra is made mostly from SANT’AGATA FOSSIL MARNE

• Ruby-red garnet, with slightly orange highlights

• Intense, with hints of dried leaves, aniseed, cherries, mint and licorice

Taste

• Full and juicy, fresh and vibrant, with great structure, with fine tannins
