THE BARICCI ESTATE

The Baricci estate is universally recognized as a quintessential, historic Montalcino winery. One of the so-called “small producers” who have undoubtedly contributed to the greatness of Brunello di Montalcino.

Founded in 1955 when the Baricci family, a farming family, after long years of physical and financial sacrifice, succeeded in purchasing the small estate known as Colombaio di Montosoli.
At that time, Brunello was an unknown wine, produced in small quantities by only a few enthusiasts.

Years passed, and in 1967 Nello Baricci, along with a few other producers, founded the “Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino,” a voluntary association of producers aimed at protecting, defending, and promoting their wine, whose prestige was steadily growing.
The first Baricci Brunello on the market dates back to 1971, while the first bottle of Rosso di Montalcino is from 1968. Currently, grandsons Federico and Francesco carry on the family name, which has always been synonymous with tradition, passion, and integrity. The third generation joining their grandfather is a testament to a “counter-current” career choice for the new generations, as well as the continuation of an honest and dedicated way of working.

BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO

Baricci Brunello di Montalcino is highly distinguished by its mineral character (with marly soils, marine fossils, quartz schists, and galestro), and this is precisely the magic of this wine.

• Color: Ruby red with garnet highlights.
• Bouquet: Ethereal and complex with clear notes of red berries.
• Palate: Aromatic persistence, significant structure, elegant and persuasive.
• Food pairing: Richly flavored dishes with red meats, game, grilled meats, and mixed roasts. Aged and flavorful cheeses.
• Service: Uncork a few hours before consumption; serve at 18°C in crystal balloon glasses.
