THE WINERY – GALARDI
Through a shared passion for the countryside and farming, Dora and Maria Luisa together with Arturo, Roberto and Francesco, in 1991 began to produce a high quality wine with a dream to revive the ancient tradition of Campania’s noble vines. Roberto is no longer with us, but the work of the Galardi cellar is carried out in his memory in the search for the highest quality in wine making.
Wine
The potential of the volcanic terrain descending towards the sea, together with Riccardo Cotarella, a respected wine maker with a particular interest in reviving and enhancing wines from southern Italy, brought about the birth, in 1994, of a product that aroused an incredible amount of excitement. The Terra di Lavoro. 2017 arrived and since the first evolutionary stages of the ripening of the grapes, the signs of a great vintage and mainly an excellent performance of Piedirosso. The Terra di Rosso born.
TERRA DI LAVORO
The Galardi company has been producing Terra di Lavoro since 1994; a wine that expresses its best result in years of abundant sunshine and low rainfall.
Since its first release the Terra di Lavoro has got a stunning sequence of excellent vintages that have confirmed and increased the value of quality, consecrating it to the élite of Italian red wine.
A wine that never ceases to amaze, thanks to the potential of the volcanic area and the meeting of the winery with Richard Cotarella; winemaker of great value and particularly sensitive to the restoration and enhancement of the wines of the South of Italy.
Tasting notes
- Colour: deep ruby red
- Scent: valuable hints of blueberry, blackberry and pepper with hints of spicy pepper and liquorice
- Taste: warm and enveloping, silky and persistent
