At the time, the estate spanned approximately five hectares, and the grapes harvested there were sold to a local cooperative winery.<\/p>\n<p>Given the meager returns, Domenico\u2014with the support of his wife, Giuliana, in managing the estate\u2014decided to begin vinifying his own grapes to produce high-quality wines.<br \/>\nWith love and dedication, he began to tend to his vines, striving to understand and address their every need throughout the year.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, Domenico acquired new vineyard plots, all well-situated and boasting ideal microclimatic conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Today, the Domenico Clerico winery encompasses 21 hectares of vineyards, located in some of the finest subzones of the Barolo appellation, specifically within Monforte d\u2019Alba and Serralunga d\u2019Alba.<\/p>\n<p>DOMENICO CLERICO Barolo PerCristina 2006. Through careful and prudent vineyard management, the estate harvests pure, high-quality grapes, which are transformed into multifaceted wines\u2014seductive on the nose and complex on the palate.<br \/>\nIt is through this hard work that the estate has established itself as one of the most representative wineries in Monforte d\u2019Alba.<\/p>\n<p>The Domenico Clerico estate excels in its interpretation of the Nebbiolo grape, crafting wines that are captivating in their aromatic profile, noble on the palate, and remarkably long-lasting in their finish.<\/p>\n<h3>ORGANOLEPTIC NOTES<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Color: Intense ruby \u200b\u200bred, with dark garnet highlights.<\/li>\n<li>Aroma: Hints of ripe fruit\u2014notably raspberry and blackberry\u2014complemented by darker notes of tobacco and leather.<\/li>\n<li>Taste: Full-bodied and enveloping, with a subtle touch of sweetness balanced by excellent acidity and depth. The tannins are velvety, underscored by a balsamic quality. Exceptionally persistent.<\/li>\n<li>Pairings: Best reserved for special occasions\u2014significant dinners where meat takes center stage, perhaps accompanied by truffles.
