THE WINERY – ALTESINO<\/h2>\n

The austere walls of Palazzo Altesi, at the center of the estate, were built in the mid-15th century by the noble Tuscan Tricerchi family.<\/p>\n

Acquired and renovated by Milanese entrepreneurs in the early 1970s<\/p>\n

Altesino introduced modern entrepreneurship into a post-sharecropping economic fabric; from this encounter, a new way of making and conceiving wine was born, grew, and flourished.<\/p>\n

The Altesino winery is a pioneer of the various important innovations that have affected the production of Sangiovese di Montalcino, establishing itself as a prominent reality and a point of reference for the entire region.<\/p>\n

The Altesino agricultural estate is located in Montalcino, in the heart of southern Tuscany.<\/p>\n

The vineyards extend over 44 hectares, divided into the Altesino, Macina, Castelnuovo dell’Abate, Pianezzine, and Montosoli crus.<\/p>\n

In addition to Sangiovese di Montalcino, which makes up the majority of the plantings, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Trebbiano, Malvasia, Vermentino, Chardonnay, and Viognier are also produced.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the ownership’s enthusiastic and rational development program, Altesino has been equipped with modern and functional facilities for winemaking, aging, and bottling operations.<\/p>\n

BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO DOCG<\/a><\/h2>\n

Brunello di Montalcino, an ambassador of high-quality Italian winemaking worldwide, was the first wine to obtain DOCG recognition. Brunello presents a brilliant ruby red color, tending towards garnet with age. On the nose, it expresses intense, clean, pleasant, and refined aromas that open with notes of violet, tobacco, chocolate, and pleasant hints of undergrowth and vanilla. On the palate, it perfectly mirrors the nose, with a well-balanced attack, full body, good tannins, and significant structure. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
