MALINGRE TRUCHON Tradition Champagne Brut<\/a><\/h1>\n

The Malingre Truchon maison is a familiar property located in the heart of the Massiccio di Saint-Thierry, near Reims.<\/p>\n

Prouilly<\/a> is located in the Marna district, 13 km north-west of Reims. Here in this little village these are not less than 50 vines with 130 vines!<\/p>\n

Land of invasions and migrations, generations of winemakers have created a unique alchemy between soil, climate, grape varieties, and a highly original winemaking process, thus obtaining, after centuries of research, Champagne.<\/p>\n

In turn, Agn\u00e8s and Etienne Malingre perpetuate this tradition to offer this prestigious wine directly from their house.<\/p>\n

The family has been present in Prouilly for nearly 400 years. Claude Malingre, born in 1633, was a farmer and winemaker.<\/p>\n

For a long time, the estate’s vineyards produced a light red wine, exported to the North and Flanders. In 1860, Gabriel Malingre cultivated two hectares of vines in a haphazard and uneven style.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, phylloxera, downy mildew, competition from wines from the South of France, then the First World War and the crisis of the 1930s decimated wine production.<\/p>\n

In 1960, Jacques Malingre, Etienne’s father, began producing Champagne. Today, 6 hectares of vines spread across 32 plots are cultivated with the utmost respect for the soil and the environment.<\/p>\n

Malingre Truchon Champagne Tradition<\/a> Brut<\/h2>\n

This blended champagne embodies the diverse terroirs of Prouilly and Trigny. With notes of yellow fruit and white flowers, this convivial champagne is perfect as an aperitif.<\/p>\n

A harmonious blend of three typical French grape varieties, all from the 2022 harvest, combined with a 46% reserve wine content from previous harvests.<\/p>\n

Alcoholic fermentation is partly carried out in stainless steel. Vinification is carried out using malolactic fermentation. A minimum of 36 months on the lees and at least 3 months of rest after disgorgement.<\/p>\n

Dosage: 7g\/l (Brut)<\/p>\n

The nature of the terroir guided the selection of the most suitable grape varieties: Pinot Meunier represents 68% of the estate’s grapes, Pinot Noir 20%, and Chardonnay occupies 12% of the vineyards.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
