For 700 years the Frescobaldi family has combined tradition, experience and innovation with creativity and the pursuit of excellence. The family has always looked to develop and celebrate the diversity of Tuscany\u2019s terroir, being proud owners of some of the greatest vineyards in this region.<\/p>\n

They always seek to maintain the identity and autonomy of each property.<\/p>\n

ORNELLAIA, perceived as one of the world\u2019s iconic wineries, has flourished under the Frescobaldi family\u2019s ownership. It is just one of the estates owned by the family alongside ATTEMS (Friuli), MASSETO, DANZANTE, LUCE DELLA VITE and the six FRESCOBALDI Estates, Nipozzano, CastelGiocondo, Pomino, Ammiraglia, Castiglioni and Remole.<\/p>\n

-Philosophy-<\/h3>\n

Our production philosophy revolves around Ornellaia\u2019s obsession with excellence \u2013 at all levels. Every choice we make is of absolute importance and implies an all-consuming attention to detail. At no point in the production process are shortcuts allowed or tolerated, and this is how we succeed harvesting grapes that are of the very highest quality irrespective of the climatic conditions in that particular year.<\/p>\n

Le Volte dell\u2019Ornellaia combines a Mediterranean expression of generosity with structure and complexity, reflecting the philosophy of Ornellaia. Le Volte dell\u2019Ornellaia is a fine wine for spontaneous wine lovers and needs no ceremony.<\/p>\n

THE 2023 GROWING SEASON<\/h3>\n

2023 was a challenging vintage in Bolgheri that, however, benefitted from Nature\u2019s benevolence during key moments of the growing season. Winter was mild with relatively high temperatures and average rainfall that resulted in early plant growth. Spring brought abundant rainfall that helped fill up water reserves for the summer, but which also called for meticulous work in the vineyard. A hot summer saw high temperatures, albeit without reaching any extremes, alongside rains that helped offset water stress in the vineyards. This enabled the grapes toripen gradually and regularly, allowing the berries to achieve high concentration.
\nRainfall in late August and cool September nights helped aromatic complexity development and preserved the acidity of the wine, resulting in a proper balance between power and elegance<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
