THE WINERY –\u00a0LA SPINETTA<\/a><\/h2>\n

La Spinetta is today one of the most important wineries in Piedmont, a real point of reference for the production of Barolo and Barbaresco. This family-run business was founded in 1977, when Giuseppe Rivetti, known as “Pin”, decided to move to the top of the hill of Castagnole Lanze, called La Spinetta, after his marriage.<\/p>\n

It was here that Giuseppe began to experiment with a traditional sweet wine<\/a> of Piedmont, Moscato. Since then many strides were made and the focus of production was dedicated to the production of red wines, with the birth of the first Barbareschi in the mid-90s. Since then, the rise of the La Spinetta winery has been continuous; so much so that the great successes led the property to expand beyond the Piedmontese borders, pushing into Tuscany, where 65 hectares between Pisa and Volterra were purchased in 2001. Today La Spinetta is expertly managed by Giorgio, Bruno and Carlo Rivetti, members of a family that has made hard work the secret of its success.<\/p>\n

La Spinetta extends over about 100 hectares of vineyards, acquired over time with great care. The vineyards enjoy excellent exposure to the south, south-east and south-west; and the vines are all between 35 and 65 years old, ideal for producing expressive and compact wines.<\/p>\n

LANGHE BIANCO SAUVIGNON<\/h2>\n

Production area:<\/em>
\nMango vineyard. Sandy soil with vines over 30 years old. 500 m a.s.l.<\/p>\n

Vinification:<\/em>
\nalcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation take place in new 2,000 liter French oak barrels. Aging in the same barrels for 12 months. After further refinement of 24 months in steel barrels. Bottling 42 months after harvest.<\/p>\n

Matching:<\/em>
\nAlso as an aperitif, it goes well with delicate vegetable-based appetizers, velvety and soups. Excellent with a steamed asparagus dish.<\/p>\n
