“We were amazed when we discovered that the letters of CASANOVA DI NERI, the name Giovanni Neri gave the company in 1971, could be rearranged to form a number of Italian sentences that embody some of our deepest held beliefs about wine and winemaking. Could these be \u2018messages in a bottle\u2019, sent by our nonno to guide us even when he was no longer around? We\u2019ll never know, but it\u2019s a nice thought! Here, then, is our winemaking credo, summed up in seven anagrams.”<\/p>\n

2018 is one of Cerretalto’s truly great years.<\/p>\n

  • The bouquet<\/strong> reveals itself gradually, with insistent graphite notes accompanied by a concerto of red berries, liquorice and chocolate. Lastly, fresh, bright tones come through, followed by balsamic, minty undertones.<\/li>\n
  • But it’s on the palate<\/strong> that Cerretalto 2015 reveals all its personality. An exceptional web of tannins \u2013 dense and velvety \u2013 blends with an acidity which is palpable but well integrated.
