Cellar Trediberri<\/a><\/h2>\n

Berri<\/strong>\u00a0is a small hamlet in the westernmost part of La Morra, located in the Langhe hills of Piemonte, close to the Tanaro river. It lies at the extreme western edge of the Barolo region. Here, in 2007,\u00a0Nicola<\/strong>, his father\u00a0Federico<\/strong>\u00a0and their friend\u00a0Vladimiro<\/strong>, acquired 5 hectares circa (12.5 acres) exclusively for the production of Barolo. The\u00a0Trediberri<\/strong>\u00a0winery was born.<\/p>\n

“Our first wine was released in 2011 and today we vinify wine from 10,5 ha (26 acres) of vineyards: in addition to the original 5 ha (12 acres) in the Berri Cru, we also own 2,8 ha (7 acres) in the Crus of Rocche dell\u2019Annunziata<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Torriglione<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 where we grow Barolo, Barbera and Sauvignon Blanc \u2013 and we are currently renting 3 ha (7,5 acres) of Dolcetto and Nebbiolo in\u00a0Vicoforte<\/strong>, within the most southern village of Langhe Region, at the feet of the Alps. From 2012 until 2017 included, we had the privilege to cultivate another hectare of Nebbiolo for Barolo in the\u00a0Capalot<\/strong>\u00a0Cru, in La Morra. Unluckily, from 2018 that contract hasn\u2019t been renewed.
\nWe are a young, artisanal family winery.
\nWe have no ancestral coat of arms depicting rampant horses and fluttering ensigns. We have no history and that is fine by us: we like talking about the present, through our wines.”<\/p>\n

Barolo Docg<\/a><\/h2>\n

Winemaking<\/h3>\n

Vinification of grapes coming from La Morra mostly MGA Berri and MGA Capalot (from 2012 until 2017 vintage). Alcoholic fermentation happens in concrete and lasts around 12-14 days, followed by a 6-7 day post-fermentative maceration. Total skin-juice contact is around 3 weeks. Then malolactic takes place in oak and the wine ages for around 20 months in 52-hl and 25-hl oak barrels crafted by Garbellotto. After aging, the wine rests for some months in concrete, steel and plastic, before being bottled, usually in July-August of the year before the release.<\/p>\n

Tasting Notes<\/h3>\n

Our Barolo \u201cclassic\u201d has been a blend of different vineyards from 2012 until 2017 and it has always tried to represent the typical character of La Morra, in particular its drinkability and its finesse. This wine has never been extremely alcoholic or full-bodied, rather more characterized by a \u201cweightless\u201d power and freshness. Henceforth it doesn\u2019t need a long time in the bottle to be joyfully consumed. Its perfect pairings are goat cheeses, gnocchi with cheese, fondue, braised meat.<\/p>\n
