{"id":46159,"date":"2025-06-18T11:25:07","date_gmt":"2025-06-18T09:25:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fonsvinum.com\/?post_type=product&#038;p=46159"},"modified":"2025-06-18T11:29:49","modified_gmt":"2025-06-18T09:29:49","slug":"vietti-vigna-scarrone-barbera-dalba-2022","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/fonsvinum.com\/en\/product\/vietti-vigna-scarrone-barbera-dalba-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"VIETTI Vigna Scarrone Barbera d&#8217;Alba 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><a href=\"https:\/\/fonsvinum.com\/en\/?s=vietti&amp;post_type=product\">VIETTI<\/a> Vigna Scarrone Barbera d&#8217;Alba 2022<\/h1>\n<h2>VIETTI<\/h2>\n<div class=\"page-header page\">\n<p><em><strong>From the origins to the present..<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong><em>Located in the heart of the Langhe hills, at the top of the village of Castiglione Falletto, the Vietti wine cellar was founded in the late 1800s by Carlo Vietti.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The estate has gradually grown over the course of time, and today the vineyards include some of the most highly-prized terroirs within the Barolo winegrowing area.<\/p>\n<p>Although they have been making wine for 4 generations, the turning point came in the 1960s when Luciana Vietti married winemaker and art connoisseur Alfredo Currado, whose intuitions \u2013 from the production of one of the first\u00a0<strong>Barolo crus<\/strong>\u00a0(Rocche di Castiglione \u2013 1961), through the single-varietal vinification of\u00a0<strong>Arneis<\/strong>\u00a0(1967) to the invention of\u00a0<strong>Artist Labels<\/strong>\u00a0(1974) \u2013 made him both symbol and architect of some of the most significant revolutions of the time.<\/p>\n<p>His intellectual, professional and prospective legacy was taken up by\u00a0<strong>Luca Currado Vietti<\/strong>\u00a0(Luciana and Alfredo\u2019s son) and his wife\u00a0<strong>Elena<\/strong>, who have contributed to the success of the Vietti brand \u2013 universally recognized today as being one of the very finest Italian wine labels \u2013 by continuing along the path of the pursuit of quality, considered experimentation and working for expansion and consolidation internationally.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<strong>2016<\/strong>\u00a0the historic winery was acquired by Krause Holdings, enabling Luca and Elena, always at the head of Vietti brand, to add a number of prized crus to the estate\u2019s holdings, and be able as a result to look to a future with new, stimulating prospects, all while maintaining the family approach for which the cellar has always been known.<\/p>\n<h2>BARBERA D&#8217;ALBA VIGNA SCARRONE<\/h2>\n<h3>-Vintage 2022-<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Winemaking<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The grapes for this wine are grown in the steep terraced single vineyard site Scarrone in Castiglione Falletto. The grapevines were planted in 1989. Vineyards&#8230;The vineyards soil is made of marl (clay in combination with limestone).<br \/>\nThe grapes were, afret a short period of cold-maceration, fermented in open stainless-steel tanks for about two weeks at a temeperature of 26-28\u00b0C. During the alcoholic fermentation frequently remontage and d\u00e9lestages were implemented to achieve a perfect extraction of color and tannins.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Aging:<\/strong>\u00a018 months between big oak barrels, barriques and steel tanks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Description:<\/strong>\u00a0Deer purple color. Pronounced and intense aromas of ripe red and black cherries, paired with notes of spices. Medium to full bodied, with intense fruit on the palate that is paired with refreshing acidity.
