{"id":45810,"date":"2025-05-09T11:05:42","date_gmt":"2025-05-09T09:05:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fonsvinum.com\/?post_type=product&#038;p=45810"},"modified":"2025-05-09T11:16:08","modified_gmt":"2025-05-09T09:16:08","slug":"pira-chiara-boschis-barbera-dalba-superiore-2022","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/fonsvinum.com\/en\/product\/pira-chiara-boschis-barbera-dalba-superiore-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"PIRA CHIARA BOSCHIS Barbera d&#8217;Alba Superiore 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>PIRA CHIARA BOSCHIS Barbera d&#8217;Alba Superiore 2022<\/h2>\n<p>PIRA CHIARA BOSCHIS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shopinlanghe.com\/vini-e-distillati\/vini-rossi\/barbera\">Barbera <\/a>d&#8217;Alba Superiore 2022<\/p>\n<h2>THE WINERY &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/fonsvinum.com\/en\/attributes\/producer\/az-agricola-pira-figli-en\/\">PIRA CHIARA BOSCHIS<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Pira is an old family of viticolturists that -between the end of &#8216;800 and the beginning of &#8216;900 producers.<\/p>\n<p>This prosperous patrirachal family unit declined as all its male components started to die young one after another, until the tragic end of Luigi Pira, a noble man who believed in the importance of traditions: the last one to tread the grapes and to make wine without mechanical devices.<\/p>\n<p>About a year after his death, his sisters, who couldn&#8217;t manage the family business but were willing to carry on the tradition, sold the farm to their old friends family Boschis.<\/p>\n<p>Now Chiara Boschis, after a degree in Economics, manages the farm following her passion for wine and believing in this &#8220;great small farm&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The output is still very small (about 12.000 bottles each year) and the wine is exclusively made from grapes grown in our vineyard.<\/p>\n<p>Chiara Boschis has some six hectares of vines under cultivation in the commune of Barolo<\/p>\n<p>She graduated with degree in economics but gained experience while working with her brothers at the historical Borgogno estate.<\/p>\n<p>As one of few women winemakers in the Langhe, she is necessarily of unquestionable confidence, determination, patience and charm.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/fonsvinum.com\/en\/?s=barbera&amp;post_type=product\">BARBERA<\/a> D&#8217;ALBA SUPERIORE<\/h2>\n<h3>PRODUCT NOTE<\/h3>\n<p>Since 1990, this jewel of Barolo has been run by the energetic and multi-talented Chiara Boschis, with the explicit goal of adding an aromatically elegant edge to the legendary power of these great wines.<\/p>\n<h3>TASTING\u00a0NOTE<\/h3>\n<p>Ruby red, intense when young, tending to slight garnet. The bouquet is intense yet delicate. The palate is dry, full-bodied and typically bitterish. As it ages it will become more refined assuming a full and harmonious flavour.
