DOMAINE BOURGOGNE DEVAUX<\/h1>\n

In 1899, Th\u00e9odore DEVAUX, built the first buildings on the estate.<\/p>\n

In 1946, Alexandre DEVAUX, accompanied by his wife Marie-Louise DEVAUX, took over the family business. In the 1960s he purchased some vineyard plots in Pommard and developed direct bottle sales.<\/p>\n

In 1986, his daughter Sylvie BOURGOGNE-DEVAUX took over the estate but sold the grape production to third parties. In 2012, under the guidance of his two sons, Fabrice and Luc, the Bourgogne Hautes C\u00f4tes de Beaune was vinified, thus rediscovering the satisfaction of sharing the family passion for wine.<\/p>\n

In 2013, in addition to the Bourgogne Hautes C\u00f4tes de Beaune, part of the Pommard grapes were vinified: thus the cuv\u00e9e \u201cLes Vignots\u201d was born.<\/p>\n

In 2014 the entire harvest was vinified on the farm.<\/p>\n

The estate currently manages 4.10 hectares of land (3.42 hectares of Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Beaune Rouge and 0.68 hectares of Pommard).<\/p>\n

BOURGOGNE HAUTES COTES DE BEAUNE VINO ROSSO LIEU-DIT “LA PERRIERE”<\/h2>\n

The term “Perri\u00e8res” refers to the old quarries which have long surrounded the vineyard.<\/p>\n

\nExposure: south, altitude approximately 350 m.
\nSlope: 3 to 5%
\nSoil type: shallow; red earth and fine stones.
\nTaste characteristics: the wines from this plot are characterized by a dominance of very ripe red fruits, great complexity on a more melted tannic support. Its mouth is structured, with powerful tannins.
\nServing temperature: 15-16\u00b0C; It is often desirable to decant recent vintages in order to amplify their aromatic expression.<\/p>\n
