A family atmosphere pervades over the House Bollinger, one of the last family and independent houses in Champagne. In the village of A\u00ff, home of Champagne Bollinger, you may encounter some of the winemaking team rolling barrels over cobblestones. As you make your way into Madame Bollinger\u2019s house or down the alleys in the cellars, past and present blend.<\/p>\n

CHAMPAGNE<\/a> R.D. EXTRA BRUT<\/h2>\n

The Extra Brut “R.D.” by Bollinger is one of the most important and well-known\u00a0Champagne\u00a0comes from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes, left to refine in the bottle on the lees for at least 10 years.<\/p>\n

  • Colour:<\/strong> g<\/span>olden yellow, with a thin perlage<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Scent:<\/strong> b<\/span>ouquet of apple quince and honey, with a toasted final and recalling the nutty and star anise<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Taste:<\/strong> f<\/span>ull-bodied and intense, with a powerful drink but always balanced, with nice freshness and minerality, with a very long finish<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    -Vintage 2008- Exceptional timeless vintage<\/h3>\n

    Bollinger R.D. 2008 is lively and exceptionally complex, taking us on a journey outside time. Hazelnuts, with all their freshness and generosity, are the perfect ingredient to echo a wine of such splendour.<\/p>\n

    The 2008 vintage is characterised by its remarkable precision and opulence.<\/h3>\n

    The assembly of this 2008 vintage is composed of 71% Pinot Noir and 29% Chardonnay. A total of 18 crus can be find in the blending, mostly A\u00ff and Verzenay for Pinot Noir and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Cramant for Chardonnay. The fermentation is entirely in oak barrels. Bollinger R.D. is sold just a few months after being disgorged, with a very low dosage known as \u201cextra brut\u201d, at just 3 grams per litre. The recent disgorgement guarantees the remarkable freshness of the wine.<\/p>\n
