Subsequently, in the 1970s, Milanese entrepreneurs purchased and renovated Palazzo Altesi. <\/p>\n<p>Altesino thus introduced modern entrepreneurship into a post-sharecropping economic fabric, and from this encounter a new way of making and conceiving wine was born, grew and established itself. The Altesino winery is a pioneer of the various important innovations that have affected the production of Sangiovese di Montalcino, establishing itself as a prominent reality and a point of reference for the entire region. <\/p>\n<p>Societ\u00e0 Agricola Altesino is located in Montalcino, in the heart of southern Tuscany.<\/p>\n<p>The vineyards extend over 44 hectares, divided into the Altesino, Macina, Castelnuovo dell&#8217;Abate, Pianezzine, and Montosoli crus.
