The Sandrone winery was established in 1978.
\nIt was founded by the Sandrone family with the aim of producing wines that could translate into the bottle the finest expression of the Nebbiolo grape, grown in the fabulous and unique terroir of the Piedmontese Langhe.<\/p>\n

With just under thirty hectares of vineyards, the Sandrone winery is today undoubtedly among the most important Barolo producers. The estate has been slowly but gradually expanded over the years, both in terms of vineyards and cellar facilities. It currently produces approximately 90,000-100,000 bottles per year.
\nHowever, it is remembered as one of the first Barolo wineries to be awarded 100 points by the renowned wine critic Robert Parker, for the 1990 vintage of Barolo Cannubi Boschis. <\/p>\n

The Sandrone winery has embraced the theory of sustainability and follows organic farming standards.
\nIt thus offers wines born from the union of artisanal traditions and professional expertise, representing the result of careful interaction between nature and winemaking. In short, these are bottles that reflect the history and culture of the land they come from, consistently delivering balance, purity, elegance, and harmony. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

BARBERA<\/a> D’ALBA<\/h2>\n

Luciano Sandrone’s Barbera is a full-bodied and intense red wine, aged for 12 months in tonneau. Dark ruby in color, the nose is sweet, fruity, enveloping, with a broad and articulated bouquet. On the palate it is fresh, juicy, soft, with great balance and structure yet smooth, with soft tannins and a long finish. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

From Monferrato to Langa.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Native to the hills of Monferrato, in the second half of the 19th century the Barbera grape also reached the vine-growing terroirs of Roero and then Langa. On these hills it has selected, often in competition with Nebbiolo, the spaces most suited to it, those where marly and compact soils prevail and where the vines can benefit longer from the sun’s rays. From this special symbiosis Barbera d’Alba wine was born, fruity and savory, another protagonist of Piedmont’s vineyards and cellars. <\/p>\n

Balance and harmony.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In this production universe, we cultivate seven Barbera vineyards on the hills of Barolo; each expresses original characteristics, dictated by the particularity of the soil and microclimate. At each harvest we hand-pick their grapes and vinify them separately to translate the references of origin into the wines. From the blending of these wines our Barbera d’Alba is born, which we mature for 15 months in wooden containers, especially new vessels that better balance the wine’s natural structure, deeply inspired by fruitiness, fragrance and a never too assertive tannin. <\/p>\n
