The family members were distinguished in the\u00a0<b>printing\/typesetting field<\/b>\u00a0and in significant\u00a0<b>military and diplomatic roles<\/b>\u00a0of the\u00a0<strong>Royal House of Savoy<\/strong>\u00a0to then become one of the most important aristocratic families\u00a0<strong>(Marchesi)<\/strong>\u00a0of Piedmont.<\/p>\n<p>One of the several\u00a0<strong>Falletti<\/strong>\u00a0family branches, proprietors of\u00a0<strong>Monfalletto Estate<\/strong>\u00a0and the most noteworthy noble family of the Alba area, intertwines with the Cordero di Montezemolo family when Maria Lydia, daughter of the Marchese Luigia Falletti marries Paolo Cordero di Montezemolo in 1918. The couple unfortunately dies prematurely but not before their only son,\u00a0<strong>Paolo<\/strong>\u00a0is born.<\/p>\n<p>When she died in 1941, he inherited her entire property, including the Monfalletto Estate in La Morra. Historical texts testify to the florid and important\u00a0<strong>agricultural activity of the farm<\/strong>\u00a0set on a unique and fortunate hill. The wine production on this hill is documented from over\u00a0<strong>200 years ago<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8221;\u00a0 \u00a0The great wine, which many call a \u201cwork of art\u201d is the work of nature, the work of the sun, the climate, the soil composition and so on; to use a cavalier and paradoxical term, it is an agrarian opera.\u00a0 \u00a0&#8220;<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"fonte\"><em>-Paolo Cordero di Montezemolo-<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/fonsvinum.com\/en\/?s=BAROLO&amp;post_type=product\">BAROLO<\/a> MONFALLETTO<\/h2>\n<p>From a 1 hector single vineyard in the municipality of La Morra. Situated at the foot of a centenary Lebanese Cedar tree, on the highest South\/West slope of Gattera cru. Old vines at 300 meters above sea level in rich and clay soil provide an ideal maturation for an austere and complex Barolo.<\/p>\n<h3>-Vinification and maturation-<\/h3>\n<p><em>Vinification:<\/em> Maceration takes place over 6-8 days in stainless steel tanks, followed by 10-12 days of fermentation. Wine is then drawn off into small French oak barrels to undergo malolactic fermentation.<\/p>\n<p><em>Maturation:<\/em> Aged slowly for 19-21 months in small French oak barriques.<\/p>\n<h3>-Tasting notes-<\/h3>\n<p>Intense garnet red <strong>color.<\/strong> Warm and mature nose with notes of jam, raspberry, licorice, cherry and camphor. Soft <strong>mouth<\/strong> of remarkable structure with fine tannins and persistence.<\/p>\n<h3>-Food Pairing-<\/h3>\n<p>An aristocratic wine that finds its ideal match in game, jugged hare, braised beef, chamois, roe deer, wild boar, venison, and pigeon.
