In search of the cru, a revolutionary idea<\/em><\/strong>
\nThe quest of the brothers Bruno and Marcello Ceretto was to select vineyards in the most valuable positions historically. This idea came about during a trip to Burgundy; and would prove the family\u2019s insight and see their Barolo and Barbaresco wines among the most popular in the world.<\/p>\n

A revolution at the time, for a territory in which the concept of cru was totally unknown, but, above all, a brilliant idea. The most difficult challenge the brothers faced was convincing their father who, as was typical at the time, purchased grapes for the wines he vinified. “You are undertaking a difficult journey, the land has never made anybody rich,” he warned, but Bruno and Marcello were convinced about the potential of the land and stubbornly replied, “We believe in the land 100%, the winery is obviously important, but great wines are made with great grapes.” And so, they began dreaming of labels bearing the name of the vineyard and also its image: “so whoever drinks that wine can see the vineyard from which it has originated.<\/p>\n

\u201cMore than just a job, ours is a passion. One things for certain – the method laid out by my father Bruno: let the customers live our culture and learn about the beauty of our land, the Langhe \u201d.<\/p>\n

BAROLO<\/a> BRUNATE<\/h2>\n

-Bricco Rocche Winery- in Castiglione Falletto\u00a0<\/i><\/h3>\n

The winery at Castiglione Falletto was\u00a0built in 1982<\/strong>\u00a0and was created to vinify grapes coming from the finest vineyards of the Barolo denomination. It was extended in 2000, with the construction of the futuristic glass\u00a0Cube<\/strong>, that provides a perfectly integrated contrast of modern design against the profile of the hills that surround it. Bricco Rocche is the home for vinifying and ageing some of the most prestigious crus of the region, as well as that of its namesake: Brunate from La Morra, Prap\u00f2 from Serralunga D\u2019Alba, and Cannubi San Lorenzo from Barolo.<\/p>\n

It is one of the most representative vineyards of the Commune of La Morra and has always been considered one of points of reference for the entire appellation. It is an inter-commune vineyard, the plot is shared, from an administrative point of view, between the towns of Barolo and La Morra.<\/p>\n

  • Colour<\/strong> is dense ruby \u200b\u200bred with garnet reflections.<\/li>\n
  • There is a carnival of flowers on the nose,<\/strong> accompanied by ethereal accents, in the generous vintages, or by a range of citrus notes, in the fresher years.<\/li>\n
  • In its youth, the wine is instilled with a fruit that seems sweet and whole; the tannins are able to enliven the mouthfeel and restore tension, without removing smoothness from its taste.<\/strong> It is the development, then, that makes the picture precious, painting the whole with autumnal tones and whiffs of smokiness.
