The property is one of the first 4 to begin producing Brunello di Montalcino in 1800, and its historic importance is represented on the label of Castelgiocondo by the figure of a condottiere from a celebrated fresco of the Sienese artist Simone Martini.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h2>CASTELGIOCONDO <a href=\"https:\/\/fonsvinum.com\/en\/?s=BRUNELLO&amp;post_type=product\">BRUNELLO<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>&#8220;CastelGiocondo\u2019s unique location in Montalcino, with its varied exposure and terrain &#8211; galestro, clay and Pleocene sands &#8211; offers infinite nuances to this Brunello. A multi-faceted experience that evolves over time and entices us to discover, taste and remember, again and again.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lamberto Frescobaldi<\/p>\n<h3>-Tasting notes, vintage 2016-<\/h3>\n<p>CastelGiocondo 2016 is yet another chapter that encapsulates the wonderful story of this wine.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The ruby-red <strong>colour<\/strong> is vibrant and intense.<\/li>\n<li>The wide-ranging <strong>bouquet<\/strong> is utterly elegant with fruity sensations that pervade the nose when you first smell it. Hints of forest fruits and ripe red berries, accompanied by elegant floral notes, are the predominant aromas. When left to breathe, it releases scents of spices and balsamic notes, which give it remarkable balance and complexity.<\/li>\n<li>When <strong>tasted,<\/strong> it reveals a dense yet elegant tannic texture that, together with its characteristic mineral quality, envelops the palate and leaves alasting impression thanks to its harmonious balance.
