The history of the Frescobaldi family starts over a thousand years ago and is closely connected with the history of Tuscany. At the high point of medieval Florence, the Frescobaldis spread their influence as bankers, earning the title of treasures to the English crown. A little later, with the flowering of the Renaissance, they became patrons of major works in Florence, such as the construction of the Santa Trinita bridge and the Basilica of Santo Spirito.<\/p>\n

BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO RIPE AL CONVENTO<\/h2>\n

On the highest hills of this Tenuta, which began producing wine in the year 1800, a small Sangiovese vineyard amazes
\nus with extraordinary emotions. At an altitude of 450 metres, the vineyard benefits from warm sun in the afternoon,
\ngalestro type soil, and fresh Mediterranean breezes, producing a uniquely elegant Brunello Riserva, with personality and
\nlongevity<\/p>\n

Lamberto Frescobaldi<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

VINIFICATION AND AGEING:
\nThe Sangiovese grapes were picked by hand after being carefully selected in the vineyard. Once
\nin the cellar, they were carefully checked once again and sorted manually one by one.
\nFermentation took place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature with frequent pumpingover, particularly during the early stages, so that the colour and structural components were
\nproperly extracted. The wine was then aged in wooden containers, resulting in excellent stability
\nand greater complexity in terms of aroma and structure. Six years after the grapes were picked,
\nand only after another period spent ageing in the bottle, Ripe al Convento 2014 is now ready to
\nbe placed on the market.<\/p>\n

TASTING NOTES:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Colour:<\/strong> Brunello Riserva Ripe al Convento 2014 boasts a bright and intense ruby-red colour.<\/li>\n
  • Scent:<\/strong> The bouquet includes floral notes and hints of gorse. It is enriched by scents of red fruit, including cherries, raspberries and wild strawberries. With time, notes of pepper, cloves and cardamom appear, enhancing the bouquet and making the wine exceptionally elegant.<\/li>\n
  • Taste:<\/strong> Harmonious and well-balanced, it boasts silky tannins that caress the palate, providing excellent structure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n
