{"id":23188,"date":"2020-04-02T10:51:26","date_gmt":"2020-04-02T08:51:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fonsvinum.com\/?post_type=product&#038;p=23188"},"modified":"2020-12-22T15:47:35","modified_gmt":"2020-12-22T14:47:35","slug":"vietti-vigna-scarrone-barbera-dalba-2017","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/fonsvinum.com\/en\/product\/vietti-vigna-scarrone-barbera-dalba-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"VIETTI VIGNA SCARRONE BARBERA D&#8217;ALBA 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>BARBERA D&#8217;ALBA VIGNA SCARRONE VIETTI 2017<\/h1>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vietti.com\/en\/\">VIETTI<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>The estate has gradually grown over the course of time, and today the vineyards include some of the most highly-prized terroirs within the Barolo winegrowing area.<\/p>\n<p>Although they have been making wine for 4 generations, the turning point came in the 1960s when Luciana Vietti married winemaker and art connoisseur Alfredo Currado, whose intuitions \u2013 from the production of one of the first\u00a0<strong>Barolo crus<\/strong>\u00a0(Rocche di Castiglione \u2013 1961), through the single-varietal vinification of\u00a0<strong>Arneis<\/strong>\u00a0(1967) to the invention of\u00a0<strong>Artist Labels<\/strong>\u00a0(1974) \u2013 made him both symbol and architect of some of the most significant revolutions of the time.<\/p>\n<p>His intellectual, professional and prospective legacy was taken up by\u00a0<strong>Luca Currado Vietti<\/strong>\u00a0(Luciana and Alfredo\u2019s son) and his wife\u00a0<strong>Elena<\/strong>, who have contributed to the success of the Vietti brand \u2013 universally recognized today as being one of the very finest Italian wine labels \u2013 by continuing along the path of the pursuit of quality, considered experimentation and working for expansion and consolidation internationally.<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<strong>2016<\/strong>\u00a0the historic winery was acquired by Krause Holdings, enabling Luca and Elena, always at the head of Vietti brand, to add a number of prized crus to the estate\u2019s holdings, and be able as a result to look to a future with new, stimulating prospects, all while maintaining the family approach for which the cellar has always been known.<\/p>\n<div class=\"col-xs-8\">\n<div class=\"vino-content\">\n<h2><strong>Winemaking<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The grapes are selected from the single vineyard Scarrone in Castiglione Falletto, nearby the winery. A cold maceration is done in steel tanks before the alcoholic fermentation that last approximately 2 weeks. After this, the wine macerates for another week, then it is racked and it is moved to oak for malolactic.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Aging<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>18 months between big oak barrels, barriques and steel tanks.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Description<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Ruby purple colour with intense aromas of ripe red and black cherries.
