Following a quite cold and wet winter, spring was marked by warm and sunny days.<\/p>\n
Berry set was good, due to the little rainfall in June and July, and the veraison process was excellent, despite the lack of rainfall in August.<\/p>\n
Fortunately, temperatures never rose too high, which allowed the water supply to be sufficient for the optimal development of the grapes\u2019 aromatic and production potential.<\/p>\n
Le Macchiole\u2019s history is entirely linked to its vineyards.<\/p>\n
From the beginning, extreme attention was paid to the land, and time served to increase the understanding of how nature is fundamental to the creation of an excellent wine.<\/p>\n
The winery only works with their own grapes, which come from vineyards that have been scrupulously selected over the years, now totally 64 acres located in various areas of the appellation.<\/p>\n
In essence, Le Macchiole\u2019s team has created a mosaic of vineyards that together form a beautiful picture.<\/p>\n
The various small plots with unique qualities bring different nuances to the wines.<\/p>\n
Tapping into these raw materials is what creates Le Macchiole\u2019s style year after year.<\/p>\n
