In summer, the very high temperatures led to early ripening of the grapes, preventing them from reaching complete phenolic maturation.<\/p>\n
The best results were achieved in the vineyards growing in soils with high clay content.<\/p>\n
A period of good weather during harvesting, including normal night-day temperature swings, allowed the grapes to achieve a satisfactory ripeness<\/p>\n
Le Macchiole\u2019s history is entirely linked to its vineyards.<\/p>\n

The winery only works with their own grapes, which come from vineyards that have been scrupulously selected over the years, now totally 64 acres located in various areas of the appellation.<\/p>\n
