The Winery<\/h4>\n

  • A long tradition unites\u00a0Beppe Marino<\/strong>\u00a0and his family to hillside vineyards and the calm attraction of the wine cellar. The roots have a firm hold in wine lands located between the Langhe and Monferrato districts of Piedmont, at Santo Stefano Belbo.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Evidence of these roots is found in the form of the large farmhouse, the vineyards and a small but technically remarkable winery: all passionately and enthusiastically run by Beppe Marino, his wife Rosalba and their son Maurizio, to create the real stars of the winery: the wines.<\/p>\n

    • The company is run at artisan level to offer customers wines produced exclusively from estate-owned grapes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The Marino family cultivates vines high (400 metres above sea level) on the hills of Santo Stefano Belbo, Mango d\u2019Alba and Castelnuovo Calcea, where it owns 12 hectares of vineyards in Valdivilla, Marini, Riforno and Momparone, areas renowned for the cultivation of grapes.<\/p>\n

      “Brusaia”, or “burned”: so is the land where one of the oldest vines of Piedmont grows, suitable both in clay soils than those marly and for this reason particularly common in the different wine areas of Piedmont.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

        • Complex aroma, typically fruity, persistent and vinous with some hints of vegetal scents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          • Dry, tannic and astringent.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            • 12,5% vol.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              Wine making:<\/h4>\n

              • The vinification of Freisa is the classic red vinification.The grapes are crushed, de-stemmed and fermented in
                \nvats at a controlled temperature (28\/30 \u00b0 C) for about 7-10 days, depending on the vintage. In this period about 2\/3 pumpingover are made to promote fermentation and its processes. After fermentation, a transfer is made to eliminate the lees, then the wine is aged for about 3 months in stainless steel vats and subsequently put in bottles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
