The Winery Le RAGNAIE<\/h2>\n

At the Agriturismo Le Ragnaie the guests can find themselves in an atmosphere of total relax and natural beauty. It is a place where all one has to do is open a window and in front of you a picture of perfect colours and smells cultivated by man and coloured by nature.
\nThe complex is surrounded by woods, olive groves and vines which, together with an enchanting garden and an ample saltwater swimming pool, create a liberating and healthy sensation inn the middle of the tuscan countryside.
\nAn ideal place to take long walks or, if you prefer, a scenic bike ride available on the property.
\nLocated admidst some of the most panoramic and cultural villages in Tuscany including Pienza, Montepulciano, San Quirico d\u2019Orcia and Bagno Vignoni not to mention Firenze and Siena as well.<\/p>\n

Le Ragnaie winery<\/a> extends over 28 hectres in the county of Montalcino which is located in the Province of Siena.<\/p>\n

Le Ragnaie land is coltivated with vines and olive groves and we follow the guidelines for\u00a0Organic Agriculture*.
\nThe vineyards are divided into three distinct parcels of land throughout Montalcino which allows to produce three diverse \u2018terroirs\u2019 of Brunello:<\/p>\n

1. Le Ragnaie:<\/strong>\u00a0Vineyard is located in the central zone of Montalcino. The vines here enjoy the highest elevation of any vineyard in Montalcino.<\/p>\n

2. Petroso<\/strong>:\u00a0Vineyard is located along the Scarnacuoia rd below the village of Montalcino. It is located in one of the oldestwine making zones in the area.<\/p>\n

3. Castelnuovo dell\u2019Abate:<\/strong>\u00a0Vineyard is located in the southern sector of Montalcino in front of the Amiata Mountain.<\/p>\n

Vines are 100% Sangiovese and are worked following the strict guidelines of organic agriculture: Le Ragnaie winery does not use any chemicals with the exception of a bordeux mixture and powdered sulfur, always staying within the limits set by the guidelines of the biological agriculture association.<\/p>\n

The winery is the property of Riccardo and Jennifer Campinoti who with the collaboration of their indispensable staff follow with meticulous attention every phase of the winemaking process.<\/p>\n

Always striving to produce a product of the highest quality while respecting the surrounding land.<\/p>\n

Brunello di Montalcino Vigne Vecchie\u00a0 Le RAGNAIE ANNATA 2018<\/h2>\n

Vinification :<\/h3>\n

Our cellar is located on Le Ragnaie estate.<\/p>\n

It has recently been expanded and remodeled and allows us to work in an extremely safe and clean environment. Once the grape bunches are harvested by hand they are destemmed and placed on a vibrating table.<\/p>\n

This process allows us to eliminate any \u201cbad\u201d grapes, leaves and stems that were not removed in the destemmer.
\nIt also ensures that any all of the grapes that are made into wine are of the highest quality.<\/p>\n

The musts are then placed in concrete vats to begin the maceration and fermentation process.
\nThey will remain in these vats for anywhere 40 days.
\nNext they are pressed and placed in barrels, 25hl Slovanian Oak Barrels.<\/p>\n

Next the wine is bottled where it rests in a temperature and humidity controlled environment until it is ready to be put on the market.<\/p>\n
