Torcolato di Breganze Maculan 2013
The Torcolato Breganze by Maculan is one of those wines that impress with their intense bouquet that is able to offer; notes of honey blend perfectly with the floral, vanilla and the noble wood.
In an enchanting village, Breganze, to three generations Maculan select wine from the best grapes, giving wines unique flavor, intensity and structure.
Produced from grapes Vespaiola, Torcolato is known since 1610, when tell us that the name of the wine originates from the ancient practice which was vinified: the grapes are harvested, they were left to dry in the cellars or attics, and to save space, were hanging from the rafters and twisted (torcolate, in the local dialect) with the strings.
The final residual sugar of 155 g/l makes it perfect as a dessert wine, excellent with small pastries, both as a wine pairing in mature cheese such as Asiago Stravecchio or blue cheeses.
