BEPPE MARINO Bramusa Brachetto Piemonte DOC

The Winery

  • A long tradition unites Beppe Marino and his family to hillside vineyards and the calm attraction of the wine cellar. The roots have a firm hold in wine lands located between the Langhe and Monferrato districts of Piedmont, at Santo Stefano Belbo.

Evidence of these roots is found in the form of the large farmhouse, the vineyards and a small but technically remarkable winery: all passionately and enthusiastically run by Beppe Marino, his wife Rosalba and their son Maurizio, to create the real stars of the winery: the wines.

  • The company is run at artisan level to offer customers wines produced exclusively from estate-owned grapes.
  • Oggi la cantina è situata presso il monastero -cantina delle “Suore del Vino Bianco” ……..

The Marino family cultivates vines high (400 metres above sea level) on the hills of Santo Stefano Belbo, Mango d’Alba and Castelnuovo Calcea, where it owns 12 hectares of vineyards in Valdivilla, Marini, Riforno and Momparone, areas renowned for the cultivation of grapes.

  • Brachetto Bramusa is a fizzy and fragrant red made from 100% Brachetto grapes. Low in alcohol and slightly sparkling Brachetto from Beppe Marino winery is famous for its light and elegant body and heavily perfumed foam. Production is low, so this highly sought after dessert wine is hard to find. This grape produces wines of a light body but heavy in strawberries, cherries and raspberries.

Colour:

  • Delicate ruby red.

Smell:

  • Delicate bouquet with hints of primary Brachetto grape, lime blossom, rose, peach and berries.

Taste:

  • Full, fresh, balanced, with good structure and persistence. Delicately sweet.

Alcohol content:

  • 6% vol.

Wine making:

  • A soft pressing of the must makes a cold maceration start that lasts for 24/36 hours; the must ferments a first
time in tanks at a controlled temperature for 7 days, followed by second fermentation. This one is stopped by the cold, then the wine is microfiltered and put in sterilized bottles with an isobaric method, for the maintenance of natural CO2.

Food Matching:

  • Sweets in general or with fruit salad. Its best match is with strawberries and it is also a great base for
    cocktails or as an aperitif.
