Terroir<\/h1>\n

Das in den H\u00fcgeln nahe Bolgheri gelegene Weingut Ornellaia liegt verborgen in deren Ausl\u00e4ufern, die sich zur Mittelmeerk\u00fcste hin erstrecken. In den Sommermonaten streicht eine k\u00fchle Meeresbrise \u00fcber die Weing\u00e4rten und die umliegenden Olivenhaine, w\u00e4hrend die H\u00fcgel im Winter Schutz vor kaltem Nordwind bieten.<\/p>\n

Das Weingut Ornellaia ist \u00fcberzeugt, dass Wein der wahrhaftigste Ausdruck des Terroirs sein sollte, aus dem er stammt. Die vielf\u00e4ltige Beschaffenheit der B\u00f6den des Weinguts \u2013 Meeresboden, Schwemmland und vulkanischer Boden \u2013 schaffen gemeinsam mit dem Meeresklima ein Umfeld, in dem sich rote und wei\u00dfe Rebsorten voll entfalten k\u00f6nnen. Myriaden von Rebfl\u00e4chen f\u00fcgen sich wie ein Mosaik in diese unverf\u00e4lschte Landschaft und ergeben eine einzigartige Sch\u00f6nheit, Komplexit\u00e4t und Eleganz an einem wirklich au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlichen Ort. Im Gegensatz zu dem sehr sp\u00e4ten Jahrgang 2010 hatte das hei\u00dfe und trockene Klima 2011 f\u00fcr eine au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnlich fr\u00fche Weinlese zur Folge. Nach einem regnerischen Winter wartete der Fr\u00fchling mit besonders warmen Temperaturen auf, was den Wachstumszyklus der Reben gut 10 Tage fr\u00fcher einsetzen lie\u00df. Der Austrieb erfolgte ausgesprochen rasch und gleichm\u00e4\u00dfig, ein erfahrungsgem\u00e4\u00df gutes Zeichen f\u00fcr einen gro\u00dfen Jahrgang. Im Juni und Juli wurde das Wachstum dann durch die frischeren Temperaturen abgebremst. Die Regenf\u00e4lle kamen zur rechten Zeit nach Bl\u00fcte und Farbwechsel und beg\u00fcnstigten somit eine optimale Entwicklung der Beeren. Eine Hitzewelle Ende August beschleunigte schlie\u00dflich die Reifung so stark, dass man bereits in der letzten Augustwoche mit der Ernte begann. Das sonnige, trockene Septemberwetter bescherte nahezu ideale Bedingungen f\u00fcr die weitere Ausreifung der Trauben. Sie pr\u00e4sentierten sich konzentriert mit einer perfekten Balance zwischen Tanninreife, frischer S\u00e4ure und intensiven, reifen Aromen. Die Ernte dauerte bis Ende September.<\/p>\n

\u201eGepr\u00e4gt von Sonne bringt der fr\u00fche Jahrgang 2011 seine Eigenschaften auf h\u00f6chstem Niveau zum Ausdruck. Dem Auge pr\u00e4sentiert er sich in einem intensiven, jugendlichen Rubinrot. Die Nase verzeichnet intensive, vollreife und gleichzeitig frische und vibrierende Fruchtaromen, die von zarten balsamischen Ankl\u00e4ngen und R\u00f6stnoten untermalt sind. Am Gaumen frappiert seine gro\u00dfe Konzentration, die mit einer beeindruckenden, aber auch samtigen und geschliffenen Tanninstruktur einhergeht, wodurch er sich im Mund voll ausbreiten kann, ohne ein Gef\u00fchl von Schwere zu hinterlassen. Im Abgang wirken balsamische und w\u00fcrzige T\u00f6ne und eine willkommene Frischenote lange nach.\u201c<\/p>\n
