Das Weingut Poggio di Sotto wurde 1989 am S\u00fcdosthang des H\u00fcgels von Montalcino gegr\u00fcndet, der seit jeher als einer der besten f\u00fcr den Anbau von Sangiovese gilt.<\/p>\n

Der Betrieb erstreckt sich \u00fcber eine Fl\u00e4che von 44 Hektar, wovon 16 Hektar mit Reben bepflanzt sind \u2013 alle im Register des Brunello di Montalcino eingetragen \u2013 und der Rest aus Olivenhainen (1.400 B\u00e4ume) und Wald besteht.<\/p>\n

Die Weinberge erstrecken sich \u00fcber einen Hang, der von 200 m allm\u00e4hlich auf 400 m ansteigt.<\/p>\n

Auf der einen Seite vom Monte Amiata gesch\u00fctzt, auf der anderen offen f\u00fcr die Meeresbrise und von den Ufern des Flusses Orcia umsp\u00fclt, genie\u00dft das Anwesen ein einzigartiges Mikroklima mit bedeutenden Temperaturschwankungen selbst im Hochsommer.<\/p>\n

Die steilen H\u00fcgellagen mit einer durchschnittlichen Neigung von 10 % werden alle im Kordon-System bewirtschaftet, mit einem Ertrag von 30\u201335 Doppelzentnern pro Hektar aufgrund einer strengen Selektion der Trauben.<\/p>\n

W\u00e4hrend der Reifephase verbleiben nur die besten Trauben am Stock. Eine weitere Selektion im Weinberg erfolgt direkt bei der Lese. <\/p>\n

Der Betrieb folgt den Kriterien des \u00f6kologischen Landbaus, garantiert und zertifiziert durch die ICEA.<\/p>\n

Brunello di Montalcino<\/a><\/h2>\n

Poggio di Sotto ist einer der gro\u00dfen Namen des Brunello di Montalcino. Er steht f\u00fcr Geschichte und Tradition, Klassik und einen unverwechselbaren Stil. Es handelt sich um eine der elegantesten Ausdrucksformen des Sangiovese<\/strong>, einer autochthonen toskanischen Rebsorte, die weltweit f\u00fcr ihren faszinierenden und edlen Charakter bekannt ist. Er stammt aus dem Gebiet von Castelnuovo dell\u2019Abate in der Provinz Siena, von Weinbergen in einer H\u00f6he zwischen 200 und 450 Metern \u00fcber dem Meeresspiegel. Im Brunello von Poggio di Sotto findet sich die ganze beredte Ausdruckskraft des lokalen Sangiovese sowie viel Nat\u00fcrlichkeit, die auch durch die Wahl der traditionellen Produktionsmethoden unterstrichen wird. <\/p>\n

Der Brunello di Montalcino von Poggio di Sotto ist die reinste und klarste Form des Sangiovese. Die Trauben werden mit \u00e4u\u00dferster Sorgfalt selektiert und in den Keller transportiert, wo die Weinbereitung in Holzbottichen erfolgt. Die Maischestandzeit auf den Schalen ist traditionell sehr lang, und die G\u00e4rung setzt spontan ein. Der Ausbau dauert etwa 40 Monate in gro\u00dfen Eichenf\u00e4ssern<\/strong>, gefolgt von einer weiteren Reifezeit in der Flasche von mindestens 8 Monaten. <\/p>\n

So vielf\u00e4ltig und komplex, dass er gen\u00fcgend Zeit ben\u00f6tigt, um diesen \u00f6nologischen Schatz zu entdecken.
